I’ve been enjoying the Month 5 Momentum devotional, Never Too Busy, because it’s helped me take a step back and realize that I often overschedule myself. I fill my days with the busyness of life and sometimes what I say are my priorities get my left-overs. It’s quite a dilemma. I’m working on making sure that my actions reflect my priorities and it’s a daily struggle. That’s why it’s so important for me to be in the Word daily. Even just a few minutes helps to ground and center me.

If you’re not a Momentum member, you can still journal these verses to help you center yourself and get back to your true priorities.

Luke 10:38-42

38 As they went on their way, he entered into a certain village, and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house. 39 She had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard his word. 40 But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she came up to him, and said, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister left me to serve alone? Ask her therefore to help me.” 41 Jesus answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, 42 but one thing is needed. Mary has chosen the good part, which will not be taken away from her.”
