Thanks for the tips. This is good information. I have been a Christian since I was a little girl. After many years of growing as a Christian…bumos and bruises along the way…I realize every day how important it is to have a relationship with a God. We live in a messy world but God’s grace is sufficient for every minute…every day… and in everything!

    Blessings,
    Tricia

Actually, I’ve been doing all these steps for years, writing in the margins of the Bible and using separate journals, for daily devotions, unexpected blessings, dreams, etc.

I know I shouldn’t see it that way because that is exactly what this bible is for…for creative journaling as I have a few other bibles as well for my regular reading. I’m sure when I do a page or two there won’t be no stopping me 🙂 Thank you for this video, it was very helpful

Thank you very much Traci! I am journaling through the book of Isaiah. This method helps things not seem so overwhelming but also lets me write deep thoughts as I read and reflect what message God has. I express myself more in writing as opposed to speaking. it also allows me to use my creativity as well.

I just signed up yesterday – rather late to the party, but never too late for the Lord! I’ve been half-heartedly Bible Journaling for a few months and in one of those Godincidences, the night before I was actually in the verse on Love that you feature in video #1 and had worked on that verse. Then I opened your video lesson and could not believe that of all the thousands of verses, you featured the same verse. I am just about to open my Bible at random and doodle a bit. I can’t wait for the next lesson. You have a lovely manner and are so genuine and encouraging. May the Lord continue to shine His light through your ministry.

Thank you for letting me join. Bible journaling is new to me…I grew up thinking you didn’t write in your Bible, but as I have grown up and matured (hahaha) I know it is ok and good to write notes and thoughts down. I have personal issues with writing or drawing over the Word but am thankful to learn and see ways to do it in margins and just hilight a part of the Word…I know everyone has there own way and I thankful to see ways to journal where I don’t write over the a Word. I have an Inspire Bible that a friend gave me so I am looking forward to using it for these lessons. Thank you again for all the tops, inspiration and encouragement . Blessings and love to you and your ministry.

Good morning Tracie. I’m rewatching your free classes for beginners. This class reminded me that I have a book “Where to Find it in the Bible” by Ken Anderson, that I love. You might want to check this out. I’ve had it forever so it’s nothing new.
    Thanks for the classes.

Thank you for the videos. Some of the tips you mentioned I already do. For example I will say a prayer before I start then pick a scripture from the bible. I also will take word or statement and find verses that relate to it. Then do entry for it. I did one for Lay your Burden downs and I give you rest, I will post in the group tonight. But I didn’t think about devotionals. What are some good devotionals to check out?
I agree with you about Revelations. At first I was a little worried about reading it because it does talk about the end times. Then God spoke to me. He said that you need to be watchful and ready for my coming. How are you going to watch for something if you do not know what to watch for?

    Reply
    • Tracie

Hi Amanda! I’m glad they were helpful. In terms of devotionals to checkout, I would think about what area of your life the Holy Spirit is calling you to pay close attention to (discernment? love? care? relationships? etc) Once I know that I can recommend specific devotionals that we have. For faster response, you can email support. Sometimes I don’t get to the blog comments as fast as I would like to.

I have another suggestion: The Lectionary. Some churches use a list of readings for the year. It’s generally published on the denomination’s website. As an example, check out the Episcopal Church’s Lectionary. There’s a good calendar-format version ihere: https://www.episcopalchurch.org/lectionary/

This has been great for me. I am a Christian artist and love creative things. Bible journaling has always confused me. The study method has spring boarded me into seeing how I can share my first love with my talent and second love. For me this is a great ministry tool as I do women’s group and Paint n Praise group in my church. I was so surprised how easily the image came to me as I read the scriptures. Thank you!
