They’re so cool for a Bible that doesn’t have the wide margin or you don’t want to mark up for some reason. Sounds like it might be a good way to attach all those loose papers I have floating around – things that I want to keep in a specific place.

    Hi Tracie
Learning so much and I am able to concentrate more on the word than thinking about what I my be doing to damage my Bible.

    Hi Tracie,
I am finding your e-course very helpful as a beginner . I have jumped in after much dithering as I didn’t want to ruin my beautiful and expensive Inspire Bible. I started out by highlighting the verse ” he will empower you ” Ephesians 3 : 16, with pink colour pencil. Keep up the good work.

Wow. Never realized that I had been tipping in/tipping out all along. I have various church bulletins and quotes that I’ve kept over the years. Watching this makes me want to go scoop up the rest of them and get them in my Bible tonight!!

Hi Tracie, My husband was watching this over my shoulder. 🙂 He mentioned that if you make sure that your Washi Tape is not longer than your Tip Out, that the tape won’t pull off when you turn the “page.” Or, if it is too long, and you don’t want to pull it off, because your Bible page might tear, you could just, slit the tape to eliminate the stress on the page. I hope that makes sense. Thanks for all of your fun tips and links. I love the idea of keeping your Washi Tape on a hoop!

That’s exactly what I do and I also add another piece of washi on the inside making the hinge more secure.

I have a question about tip-ins/tip-outs. I have no problem with vellum pieces. However, if I use light cardstock, a greeting card, or something similar along the edge of my page, I’m worried that it will damage the page. My journaling Bible still has pretty thin pages. Would you recommend scoring the outside edge of the item you’re taping in to make it fold outward a bit easier?

    • Tracie Rollins

I never have damage with the method I teach, but scoring the tip in on the fold would make it easier – great tip! Thank you for sharing!
