I absolutely love watching these videos each week, they are helping me tremendously. I am still apprehensive about starting to journal in my bible, but I am getting there. I have several journaling bibles but I just haven’t started yet. I guess my problem is being afraid to start. Just wanted to let you know I enjoy your videos and they are helpful. I am also on the Beginning Bible Journaling Facebook group.

Linda – I’m so glad these Bible journaling classes are helpful! Thank you for letting me know 🙂 It’s totally ok to start with paper instead of your Bible journal. xoxo

        Hi Tracie,
Thank you for these introductory classes/videos for beginning bible journaling. I’m not new into it but I’m not seasoned yet either. I couldn’t make myself actually start drawing in a new bible when I got started, that really hindered me and kept me from doing it for so long and I became very discouraged. I didn’t want to journal in a notebook either. I finally was watching someone else and they were journaling in a hymnal! What a genius idea! I’ve done several entries in there and it’s really opened up the doors to bible art journaling that I needed! I hope you will add hymnals as an option for others like myself!
Thanks for all you do to help bible art journaling beginners!

This is great! I gotta have a chance to know what to prefer in choosing bibles. I don’t have any yet and I am still planning to buy because I have financial problem it is hard for me to easily pick something to buy. But still, I am thankful to the Lord for getting ready myself and watched this video for me to be prepared. Thank you so much for this! I really appreciate it, I like how you explained and shows it to us. Thank you so much miss Tracie!

It was. My brother-in-law gave me his bible he taught out of and I was honored to get it. He could have gave it to 1 of his kids. I will be getting myself a Journaling Bible this weekend.

Thanks for the reviews. Love your classes. Catholic Bible publishers haven’t gotten the memo yet on the popularity of journaling, so I have been using a NSRV large print version. There is quite a bit of white space at the beginning and end of each book and a good 1/2 inch around the edges. I have always been a highlighter so journaling makes perfect sense to me. I’m more of a passage decorator than a large artwork person so this version still leaves plenty of space for me. Thanks!

Thanks for the tip! I’m not sure why the Catholic publishers are slow to entry, but I suspect there will be a release as Bible journaling continues to grow.

I have the large print Inspire Bible. I can’t wait to see how God is going to use me, through journaling in my bible. I see “growth!”

After considering many of the Bible selection, I think this is the one I’m going to get. These eyes are getting older, so I need the larger print! Are the illustrations larger, too?

I’ve been waiting until the large print was available for the NIV Beautiful Word Coloring Bible. After watching your video, I think I am going to look at the large print Inspire Bible. I didn’t realize there were so many different types out there! Thank you for all the great info!

Great overview. I’d love to see more of the last Bible you were holding with a ton of inserts and clips and it looks like you have really filled it up with color. Maybe you could do a quick video flipping through that Bible. Thanks for this wonderful course.

I love that 5he video ends reminding us that the best Bible to journal in is the one you use. I own a NASB Bible, which I love, and habe owned for many years. My inc9me has been zero for awhile due to illness and I found myself sort of thinking I couldn’t afford to Bible journal. Seeing this video encouraged me to use what I already have . Hooray! I see so liberated to go draw and be in the Word more than before!

Thank you for this tutorial! The NIV Bible left out
16 Bible verses when it was published. I’m so glad I had chosen
3 other translations to do my cross-referencing with!

I guess I unintentionally collect bible too. I have my father’s Thompson’s Chain reference, as well as my own, I have a Personal Growth Study Bible and an Inspire Praise bible, and an HCSB Rainbow Study Bible. And my late husband’s Rainbow Study Bible. And Spurgeon’s Morning and Evening. My Dad was a minister so I inherited a lot of reference books too.

So happy to know that I am not the only one who loves thrift store shopping for Bibles! Just finished shopping for our Bibles for Women project…. yes, I was in heaven!

In terms of bible journaling, I have found brand new Inspire Journaling Bibles for under $3.00 as well as other illustrative bibles. Check out the thrift stores!
