The Bible has lots to say about starting the new year strong, here are a few verses to consider:

1) Matthew 5:33 (WEB) “Again you have heard that it was said to the ancient ones, ‘You shall not make false vows, but shall perform to the Lord your vows…'”
2.) Romans 12:2 (WEB) Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.
3.) Philippians 3:13-14 (WEB) Brothers, I don’t regard myself as yet having taken hold, but one thing I do: forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before, 14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
4.) 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (WEB) Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, 20 for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.
5.) Proverbs 3:5-8 (WEB) Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding.6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.7 Don’t be wise in your own eyes. Fear Yahweh, and depart from evil.8 It will be health to your body, and nourishment to your bones.
6.) James 1:2-4 (WEB) Count it all joy, my brothers,[a] when you fall into various temptations, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. 4 Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
7.) Galatians 5:16 (WEB) But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you won’t fulfill the lust of the flesh.
8.) Isaiah 40:31 (WEB) but those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint.
9.) Isaiah 43:18-19 (WEB) “Don’t remember the former things, and don’t consider the things of old.19 Behold, I will do a new thing. It springs out now. Don’t you know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
10.) Lamentations 5:21 (WEB) Turn us to yourself, Yahweh, and we will be turned. Renew our days as of old.
11.) Matthew 7:17-18 (WEB) Even so, every good tree produces good fruit, but the corrupt tree produces evil fruit. 18 A good tree can’t produce evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree produce good fruit.
12.) Mark 16:15 (WEB) He said to them, “Go into all the world, and preach the Good News to the whole creation.
13.) 2 Corinthians 5:17 (WEB) Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold,[a] all things have become new.

17.) John 16:33 (WEB) I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble; but cheer up! I have overcome the world.”
18.) Isaiah 41:10 (WEB) Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.
19.) Psalm 118:24 (WEB) This is the day that Yahweh has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it!
20.) Philippians 4:19 (WEB) My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
21.) Genesis 2:3 (WEB) God blessed the seventh day, and made it holy, because he rested in it from all his work of creation which he had done.
22.) Ephesians 4:22-24 (WEB) that you put away, as concerning your former way of life, the old man that grows corrupt after the lusts of deceit, 23 and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24 and put on the new man, who in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of truth.
23.) Matthew 5:16 (WEB) Even so, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
24.) Mark 11:24 (WEB) Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them.
