The bible has lots to say about what God hates, here are a few verses to consider (all verses in WEB translation):
- 2 Corinthians 5:21 – If a man says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who doesn’t love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?
- John 15:18 – If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you.
- 2 Peter 3:9 – The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but he is patient with us, not wishing that anyone should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
- Matthew 5:45 – … that you may be children of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust.
- Ephesians 4:15 – … but speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him who is the head, Christ,…
- 1 John 4:20 – If a man says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who doesn’t love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?
- Proverbs 10:12 – Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all wrongs.
- 1 John 3:15 – Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life remaining in him.
- 1 John 2:16-17 – For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, isn’t the Father’s, but is the world’s. The world is passing away with its lusts, but he who does God’s will remains forever.
- Leviticus 19:17-18 – “‘You shall not hate your brother in your heart. You shall surely rebuke your neighbor, and not bear sin because of him.You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people; but you shall love your neighbor as yourself. I am Yahweh.”
- Proverbs 8:13 – The fear of Yahweh is to hate evil. I hate pride, arrogance, the evil way, and the perverse mouth.
- Psalm 97:10 – You who love Yahweh, hate evil! He preserves the souls of his saints. He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.
- Proverbs 10:18 – He who hides hatred has lying lips. He who utters a slander is a fool.
- Isaiah 1:13 – Bring no more vain offerings. Incense is an abomination to me. New moons, Sabbaths, and convocations: I can’t stand evil assemblies.
- Proverbs 28:9 – He who turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer is an abomination.
- Proverbs 6:17-19 – arrogant eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are swift in running to mischief, a false witness who utters lies, and he who sows discord among brothers.
- Exodus 20:14 – You shall not commit adultery.
- Leviticus 18:22 – You shall not lie with a man as with a woman. That is detestable.
- Leviticus 18:23 – You shall not lie with any animal to defile yourself with it. No woman may give herself to an animal, to lie down with it: it is a perversion.
- Deuteronomy 17:1 – You shall not sacrifice to Yahweh your God an ox or a sheep in which is a defect or anything evil; for that is an abomination to Yahweh your God.
- Deuteronomy 17:2-5 – If there is found among you, within any of your gates which Yahweh your God gives you, a man or woman who does that which is evil in Yahweh your God’s sight in transgressing his covenant, and has gone and served other gods and worshiped them, or the sun, or the moon, or any of the stars of the sky, which I have not commanded, and you are told, and you have heard of it, then you shall inquire diligently. Behold, if it is true, and the thing certain, that such abomination is done in Israel, then you shall bring out that man or that woman who has done this evil thing to your gates, even that same man or woman; and you shall stone them to death with stones.
- Deuteronomy 18:10 – There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who tells fortunes, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer..
- Matthew 5:44-45 – But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you, that you may be children of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust.
- Deuteronomy 18:11 – … or a charmer, or someone who consults with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer.
- Deuteronomy 22:5 – A woman shall not wear men’s clothing, neither shall a man put on women’s clothing; for whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh your God.

- Proverbs 11:1 – A false balance is an abomination to Yahweh, but accurate weights are his delight.
- Ephesians 5:13-14 – But all things, when they are reproved, are revealed by the light, for everything that reveals is light. Therefore he says, “Awake, you who sleep, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”
- Proverbs 17:15– He who justifies the wicked, and he who condemns the righteous, both of them alike are an abomination to Yahweh.
